Kitzbühel World Ski Cup

A staggering 14,000 SGM LB-100 360° LED Balls — the largest deployment ever — were combined to produce two giant circular overhead displays up in the Austrian Tyrol for the Kitzbühel World Ski Cup. It was in the VIP tent that the production company was seeking a unique solution.

The target was to create a giant chandelier to provide a luxury ambience during the day and a perfect light source placed over the audience for the show event itself.

No fewer than 1,008 1-metre strings (each containing seven 34mm balls) were used to construct each circle … making a total of 14,112 tiny spheres distributed across 2,016 strings.

The versatility of pixel LED balls is definitely demonstrated in the effectful chandelier.

The LB-100 LED Balls can be driven by the ILD (capable of driving 3 pcs. of full length LB-100 strings) or by the TLD-612A (capable of driving 6 pcs. of full length LB-100 strings).
